Ain Shams University is second locally and eighth in Africa in the Dutch Leiden Ranking for 2020

Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini marked progress in Leiden's classification of scientific research in its version issued for the year 2020, with a progression of 6 centers from last year. Thus, the university ranks 576 compared to last year among 1,200 universities worldwide that fall within this classification.

This classification depends on the evaluation of the number of research published in the name of the university and the blog in the Clarivate web of science database, as well as the volume of research published directly to the researcher versus the volume of research published jointly among researchers, along with the index of scientific research, and the index of cooperation between researchers in various fields and universities, and the index of access to research Free, and finally the gender or gender equality index.

With the arrival of Ain Shams University to this center, it will become the eighth in Africa and the second at the level of Egyptian universities in this classification.
